JINGO
Author: Terry Pratchett
Ages: 13+ (adults included)
Jingo displays Terry Pratchett’s common theme of the unfairness of fairy tales, stereotypes, and, in this case, a some racism, although not as obviously as in some of his other books. It is humorous and captivating. It has a complicated, clever plot, but not in the ‘must read it five times over’ way. It will be hard to stop reading and may give you some interesting ideas to think about. It is a tiny bit not-child-friendly in places, but not badly and only once or twice. I have read it many times but I still don’t find it boring. It is one of my favourites.
8.5/10
